DJ Self Born's vision was to create a venue with a “Cheers-like” atmosphere, a place where everybody knows your name. His goal has always been to create a "niche bar" which caters to a musically sophisticated crowd. A place where one can hear all of the songs they know and love (old & new), mix and mingle with an adult crowd, enjoy the drinks at reasonable prices and dance if the mood grabs you without the worry of having to be on an "exclusive list" to gain entry. At the same time, Love Hate has attracted a bevy of elites in the world of film, television, radio, music and sports.  Self Born states "you never know who you'll see in the crowd when you come to Love Hate, but those faces are there for the same reason our regulars are, for the music and laid back atmosphere."
